now, and the following graphics sites represent the elite of the
elite (in my humble opinion) in fantasy and mythic webset design.
Most have stunning websets that only require a link back, provided
you use it on a personal website (non-commercial). You'll also
find some websets that can be licensed for use on commercial sites.

Free Java Scripts Java scripts are little pieces of code that you embed into your HTML to have all kinds of special effects on your websites. Things like the lake effect, or the current date, no right click codes, banner rotation programs, page transition effects, text effects, menues, cursor trails, popup windows, image displays that fade, scroll, explode and make coffee ... these are all Java Scripts or Applets. From several years of using them, the following sites, in my opinion, offer the best variety, best tutorials and support, downloads are virus free, and the scripts are heavily tested before they included them in their offerings. Java Boutique The Java File Code Brain - free to use versions of most scripts for non-profit sites, with a link back requirement. Low cost license fee for commercial site usage, or ad-free usage. These codes are the elite of the elite, and won't be found on the freebie script sites. Their Image Slider is one of the best on the internet. I'd rate this site as being more for the webmaster who is building a lot of sites and wanting a high degree of professionalism in script performance. You also need a good understanding of HTML basics. Anfy Team - This site lets you generate the code you need! No more hassels on adapting a script! Just create what you need, copy the code and paste it into your webpage and you're done! (Don't forget to upload any .class files though, if any, to your webhost space, and those .class files need to be in the same folder as the .html page you're using the effect on). Site requires membership, which is free, to access the generators. Quite a few effects are free, others require a small payment PER WEBSITE to use the newer plugins they've developed or to release the ability to add links to the free version. Also, check out their Anfy Flash site... a painless way to add some flash content without knowing how to use a flash program! Another source for an excellent Image Slider - and purchase of the Flash license lets you add your creations to ANY website you have. Unlike the Anfy Applets, the Anfy Flash doesn't require a per-website license! Top |
