Tools and
Resources for the Pagan Webmaster The
Freeware Source Book 2002 ... just right click to
download this free e-book to your desktop and quickly have access
to hundreds of free webmaster resources, including over 300 software
programs! The E-book is provided free from The
Netter. Be sure to visit them for more web building goodies,
including website templates, tutorials, and more. The resources
available in this little goodie is so extensive, I'm not even
going to list a lot of links for scripts, tools and such ... it'd
just be redundant ... so download
the book! Macromedia's Dreamweaver - download a 30 day free trial version. You can also download and try their Graphics programs like Freehand and Fireworks and Flash MX! The Healing Healers website was built using Dreamweaver! Microsoft's Front Page... As of this posting, they have discountinued their 30 day trial download. Netscape's
Composer, is a decent starter webdesign program and is
included free when you download Netscape. I used Composer when
I built my first website and understand that the 6.2 version got
changed considerably (and less user friendly) in the newer 7.1
version... so I've included this link to where you can download
older versions of Netscape and Netscape Communicator. (You'll
find Composer is included within Communicator). I'm not sure how
accurate that info is, as I've long since switched to DreamWeaver
for creating websites, but if you want to try 6.2 ... then download
it first and play around, because downloading 7.1 will upgrade
you automatically. It's also nice to have both Netscape and Internet
Explorer to check your web designs against, as the two browsers
will render pages differently.
Fonts
Lord Kyl's Realm -Pagan, Fantasy and Mythical Fonts - literally hundreds of fonts and dingbats are available on this well organized site, including goddess image fonts, rune fonts, egyptian scripts, dragons, and way too many more to mention. If it's a pagan or ancient script typefont you're needing, we've no doubt you'll find it here! And to ease the time you'll spend just looking, Kyl has injected wonderful words of wisdome to illustrate the fonts. Just left click the font line text sample and you'll quickly have a zip file to download! Coron's
Sources of Fonts is another excellent resource, however,
he has a transfer limit and the site is often down as a result.
Worth a look if you happen by while the site is accessible! If
you do get in, be kind and take only what you'll use to conserve
his download allotment. DreamWeaver's Pagan Banner Exchange - your site must be pagan or psychic related to participate. Increase your website's exposure! Membership is free! Pagan and Wiccan Webrings --- simply type
pagan webrings or wiccan webrings into your search
engine of choice. The results number into hundreds upon hundreds
of webrings that you may wish to list with. Tip from one webmaster
to another ... check the ring for a good sized membership and
a high navigation rating (at least 95) ...before listing with
them! This will indicate just how well the ring is managed. And
do be sure your site meets their criteria! Nothing pains
me more than to turn down a webring application because the site
submitted isn't appropriate to the webring. The IGGW (International Guild of Gay Webmasters)
went offline in 2002 ... but Cowboy Frank has picked up the
Gay Webmaster Webring. The old IGGW WebRings were only
open to members of IGGW. With the demise of IGGW, these rings
are now being opened, and dedicated, to all Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual
and Transgendered webmasters who maintain their own web site.
